There’s historical value in several of the homes along Windsor’s downtown Walnut St. and a group of graduate students from Colorado State University have recently completed a research project focused on 28 of those homes. On Monday, Dec. 3, from 5 to 7 p.m., the group will present their findings during a public Open House held at the Art & Heritage Center, 116 5th St.

Boardwalk Park’s “Preserving the Past for the Future” monument is getting another bronze statue this spring. Yesterday, a group from Windsor toured the foundry to see how the mother statue was coming along. Here’s a video clip from the casting process.

The Town of Windsor will grow by one more permanent resident in a few months. We’re excited to welcome the mother statue home this spring to the Boardwalk Park “Preserving the Past for the Future” monument. We thank the Windsor-Severance Historical Society and Bronze Services Fine Art Foundry for their involvement in this project. Additional photos in the comments.
